Alex -
Alex Johnson has lived and worked in Avery County, North Carolina for more than 30 years. He began doing construction work during his high school summer breaks and continued in that line after graduating college. Alex built log cabins and did millwork before joining a local company where he worked for sixteen years. He began in the concrete division and later transferred to the construction division where he supervised residential and commercial construction. Alex received his contractor's license in the mid 1990s, and in 2001 he began his company.
Alex and his wife live in Newland, North Carolina where they raised their family. Alex and his family attend church locally.
The Business -
Alex Johnson Construction Company incorporated in 2001 and is operating under a North Carolina general contractor’s unlimited building license. We build custom homes, do additions/renovations, and light commercial projects, including churches. Most of our work is in the High Country, particularly Avery County. We have built homes in the communities of Linville Ridge, Grandfather Golf and Country Club, Twin Rivers, Beach Mountain, Headwaters, The Farm, Banner Grand and surrounding areas. Two of our church projects were extensive additions at Banner Elk Christian Fellowship and Bethel Baptist of Spruce Pine.
